How to disable the dpupdchk.exe process

Disabling or deleting a windows process can sometimes cause more problems that it solves, like in everything done by microsoft, it's not simple, many processes are interlinked, but there is a altenative solution to disabling the dpupdchk.exe process.
You can unistall Uninstall IntelliPoint in Control Panel (losing extra mouse functionality) not the ideal solution or you can replace the dpupdchk.exe with a dummy file that you can download here.
You are free to check it with any antivirus you have.
First use your windows task manager to stop the process, or if that doesn't work start windows in safety mode, then go to the following folder
C:\Program Files\Microsoft IntelliPoint
(adjusting if necessary for your install path).
Rename the dpupdchk.exe file with a innocuous name like blablabla.exe and paste the file inside the zip file you've just downloaded.
You will not be buged anymore and will not receive any error message, if by any reason you wan't to reverse the process just delete the file and rename blablabla.exe file (or whatever) to it's original name.
Best of luck
